SRMusikk's pieces for young band are in the grade 2-3 difficulty range. The pieces are scored for wind band instrumentation. The core percussion parts usually include snare drum, bass drum, timpani and melodic percussion.

These pieces are best characterized by simple themes and homogeneous scoring. There is also use of dramatic devices like ritardando, tempo changes and modulation.
