Jackhammer is driven by the interlocking rhythm played by the two snare drums.  The snares are joined by groups of wind instruments that comment on the figure like a dialogue. There is a short respite from the hammering rhythm in the middle of the piece, before the hammering begins again. The dynamics should be carefully observed and the articulations  should be clean and separated. Keep the jackhammers under control! Difficulty grade 2+.
