Havana Banana is a laid-back latin number built on a traditional clave rhythm. Although
the rhythms in the individual parts are relatively easy, the polyphonic character of the piece
will challenge counting skills and performer independence.
All beginning band pieces are scored as four-part flexible arrangements with percussion. Each instrument gets a melody and a harmony part. The conductor can assign parts to fit the particular instrumentation and strengths of the ensemble. Custom scoring to fit a particular instrumentation is available.
